The nos 21

The number 21 is a very important number here in the architects circle. In both negative and positive ways.
It all started with the 21 chair exhibition. 21 groups/individuals came together to put together an exhibit of 21 chairs. A fundraiser for the IAP Pakistan, Karachi chapter. Although most chairs were interesting negativity stirred when students and teachers accused architects of plagiarism. Ill ignore the negative and the dramas that came long with that…
Keeping in line with the 21 chairs next year there was a 21cubic feet exhibition. I was a graduate then and I took part in the exhibition with my dear friend and colleague dania faruq under Ar. Adil kerai at habib fida ali. It was an amazing experience but I shall give details another time.

Coming to the new exhibit “21 Lights”… I don’t really know the brief but I’m participating with a grp of architects. The concept is Moyena’s (boss): we are 7 people designing a string of light. Ill share the write up once the exhibit is done but I’m posting concept images.

Exhibition is on the 3rd of sept 2013. Fingers crossed!
